How to Use the Dice Roller

1. Pick your die in the Select Dice Type row; d6 starts out highlighted.
2. Enter how many dice to throw in the Number of dice box, from 1 to 20 (it opens at 2).
3. Press the Roll Dice! button to shake the tray.
4. Read the individual faces in the tray, then the summed figure in the Total panel underneath.
5. Scroll the Roll History panel to revisit earlier throws, or press Clear to wipe the log.

Tips for Best Results

• There is no bonus field, so roll 3d6 first and add your +2 modifier to the shown total yourself.
• For advantage in fifth edition, choose d20, set the count to 2, and keep the higher face.
• Disadvantage works identically: roll two d20s and take the lower of the two results instead.
• The d100 button returns a single number from 1 to 100, so no percentile pairing is needed.

That is more than even enough for games, teaching and casual decisions, but it is not meant for cryptography or gambling.

Can I roll something like 3d6+2?

There is no modifier box, so roll three d6 and add your +2 to the displayed total by hand. The tool handles the random part; the arithmetic bonus is one quick addition.

How do I roll with advantage or disadvantage?

Select d20, set the number of dice to 2, and roll. Take the higher face for advantage and the lower one for disadvantage, ignoring the combined total.

Does it remember my roll history?

The history panel holds your most recent 50 throws for as long as the page stays open, newest first. Reloading or closing the tab clears it, and nothing is ever sent to a server.

I just rolled three natural 1s in a row. Is it broken?

No. Each roll is independent and every face has the same chance, so short streaks appear far more often than people expect. Dice have no memory and are never due for a good result.

Does the d100 work like percentile dice?

It gives a single flat number from 1 to 100, rather than combining a tens d10 with a units d10. The distribution is identical, so any percentile table works unchanged.

Can I mix different dice in one roll?

Not in a single throw; the count applies to whichever die type is currently selected. For something like 1d8 plus 2d6, roll each type separately and add the two totals.

Is a digital roller fair enough for a serious game?

Yes. Each face is equally likely by construction, with no weighted corners or a favorite landing side, and every individual die is shown so other players can check the sum themselves.
